Mr. Monteiro is an accomplished Human Resources executive with an extensive and proven track record of working closely with organizations and organizational leaders at all levels to build winning cultures, leadership, and HR systems and practices that drive performance and business results. He has led all major HR functions, approaching them as valuable levers to enable achievement of business strategy. John has provided leadership to large and smaller organizations through their entire life cycle, including start-up.

John currently consults in the areas of organizational alignment, leadership development, HR strategic planning, staffing and selection, compensation, and performance management strategies with several organizations.

With decades of progressive Human Resources experience, John has served on the leadership teams of large and small organizations prior to becoming a consultant. Formerly, he was successful as the top HR executive at Senior and Divisional levels for a variety of government and not-for-profit organizations.

John earned his BA in Political Science/Pre-law from the State University of New York at Oneonta. Additionally, he holds a certificate in Human Resources Management from the American Management Association. He is a member of the Society for Human Resources Management and the Capital District Human Resources Association.
