John Kelly comes to us with over 25 years of forward thinking leadership experience in higher education, healthcare, not-for-profit and small business. He is skilled at quickly assessing organizational challenges and opportunities, at galvanizing resources, and coaching supervisors and managers on best practices for employee relations. His work has focused on the hiring processes, on-boarding, and managing employee relations. He has conducted employee orientations and safety trainings for over 200 employees at a time.
John is also familiar with the work that goes into being a business owner; he owned and operated a transportation company where he provided premium private transportation, and was a NY State Medicaid transportation provider.
John has both his Bachelor’--Sociology and Master’s--Social Science from Binghamton University and a Human Resources certificate from Cornell Industrial Labor Relations institute. He has been a member of the Chamber of Commerce in Westchester, Brewster and Dutchess County. He lives with his wife of 25 years, Doris, in Red Hook, NY. His oldest daughter, Ayari, is a teacher in Bethesda, MD; his second daughter, Jaina, works as an Emergency Room Coordinator and his youngest, Isabella, is tackling her junior year at Drexel University from home. In his free time you’ll find John fishing or elbow deep in a home DIY projects with his wife.
